NiUG Asia Pacific recognised the need in late 2017 to implement their own iMIS 2017 environment to provide an improved Member experience. NiUG Asia Pacific selected Causeis to be their technology partner to migrate legacy data, implement iMIS, online member functionality and ensure that the online experience catered for self-service for both the volunteers of NiUG Asia Pacific and their members.

NiUG Asia Pacific is the independent iMIS user group dedicated to ensuring organisations that use iMIS maximise their investment, in both the technology and the staff they employ to administer and utilise it. NiUG have 80-member organisations in Asia Pacific. The benefits that come with membership support their central mission to “share, compare and become more aware”. NiUG Asia Pacific is managed and run by a team of dedicated volunteers since 2008.

Since implementing iMIS within the ASI Cloud, NiUG Asia Pacific have enjoyed numerous successes with their member engagement, marketing initiatives, online presence and introduced significant efficiencies within their internal operations through online self-service and Process Automation to drive performance improvement.

Having implemented iMIS in January 2018, NiUG Asia Pacific have published multiple iMIS RiSE websites to drive their business objectives. They have relaunched their public facing website with a standard responsive website, by using a standard RiSE template. This has empowered their volunteers with the ability to directly manage their online content, significantly improving their speed-to-market. NiUG Asia Pacific have introduced a comprehensive member portal that gives members the ability to access a myriad of self-service member benefits including;

  • Online join for new members with incentivised promotions
  • Online renewals
  • Ability to manage company membership and rosters for each company
  • Register to any one of the 25 events run each year
  • Responsive design for all member self-service and browsing

NiUG Asia Pacific believes that as a volunteer lead association and through the use of iMIS within the ASI Cloud environment it will continue to provide NiUG Asia Pacific with a sustainable business operation and platform to grow their membership and mission.

Each year, ASI presents the annual Great Things Awards, which recognise clients who are using iMIS to help further their missions and accomplish ‘great things.’ ASI awarded NiUG Asia Pacific as a 2018 winner in recognition of their achievements of their outstanding iMIS powered websites:

NiUG Asia Pacific also wishes to acknowledge and thank ASI for their ongoing support through the provision of ASI Cloud Hosting and licensing to allow them to achieve their goals for the iMIS Community.
